The task of science can be explained through several important points: understanding the world - explaining how the world works - from the behavior of particles and the laws of nature, to social phenomena and human behavior; setting and testing theories - setting hypotheses and theories that are then tested through observations, experiments and logical analysis; predictions - predicting future events or system behavior; practical application - developing technologies and solutions to practical problems (medicine, engineering, communications, energy, ecology, etc.); improving the quality of life - through a better understanding of the world and the development of technology, science contributes to health, safety, comfort and the general progress of society; constant reexamination - science constantly progresses by constantly reexamining existing theories and correcting them when new scientific discoveries appear.
Precisely in connection with the above, the long-standing mission of the journal MAŠINSTVO is to contribute to the field of publishing scientific achievements in the field of technology. In this double issue, the journal MAŠINSTVO offers four papers from different thematic areas. The first paper presents a simulation that provides accurate insights into traffic flow, driver behavior, and overall transport network performance.
The second paper presents a methodology for optimizing machining process parameters. The third paper presents an investigation
of the parameters influencing the assembly time and process. The fourth paper presents an investigation of the machinability
of a specific alloy material. The fifth paper presents an analysis of product accuracy control.
In order to present scientific, research and professional capacities, the Journal follows new trends and practices in multidisciplinary areas. In regard to it, from the previous issue, all papers are published only in English
We kindly invite all esteemed colleagues, especially our young colleagues from all universities and other related institutions, to
take part and publish their scientific and professional research results in this Journal, which is a significant project of the Faculty
of Mechanical Engineering of University in Zenica and provides the opportunity for presentations of scientific research and
professional research results from highlighted, and related, thematic areas. The ‘Guidelines for Authors’ section provides
basic guidelines for preparing and writing papers.
In particular sections, we continue the tradition of presenting scientific, research and economic capacities from the environment.
Sincerely,
Fuad Hadžikadunić, Editor-in-Chief
