We are pleased to present you with the new issue of the Journal of Mechanical Engineering, which brings an overview of the  latest research results, innovative engineering solutions, professional and comprehensive analyses from various fields. In  an era of accelerated technological development, material advancement, automation and digital transformation of industry, the role of a mechanical engineer has never been more relevant or challenging. Also, with the presence of modern approaches, modern equipment and software solutions, working in this field offers a very nice feeling and satisfaction to young experts, as well as those with significant work experience.
In this issue, readers will find papers in the fields of optimization of band sawing production technology, cloud computing, nonlinear simulations of air bending production technology, vibration and surface treatment analysis, analysis of elliptical sheet metal bending, bending force optimization, and PDM/PDL technologies.
The journal aims to provide a platform for high-quality scientific dialogue, promote young researchers and encourage the exchange of ideas between the academic community and industry.

We kindly invite all esteemed colleagues, especially our young colleagues from all universities and other related institutions, to
take part and publish their scientific and professional research results in this Journal, which is a significant project of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of University in Zenica and provides the opportunity for presentations of scientific research and
professional research results from highlighted, and related, thematic areas. The ‘Guidelines for Authors’ section provides basic guidelines for preparing and writing papers.

In particular sections, we continue the tradition of presenting scientific, research and economic capacities from the environment.
We would like to thank all authors, reviewers and collaborators who contributed to the preparation of this issue, as well as the
readers who continuously support the development of the journal.
Sincerely,
Fuad Hadžikadunić, Editor-in-Chief

NONLINEAR SIMULATION OF INSIDE RADIUS FORMING DURING AIR BENDING OF THIN SHEETS

This study investigates the forming of the inside radius in thin sheet  bending using nonlinear simulations in SolidWorks. Various V-die sizes were analyzed to evaluate their influence on the bending process. Simulation results were compared with actual bent components and existing data from literature to assess accuracy and reliability. The f...

ANALYSIS OF VIBRATIONS AND MACHINED SURFACE QUALITY DURING TURNING OF Ti-6Al-4V ALLOY

This paper analyzes the influence of basic turning parameters on  vibrations and surface quality of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. Due to specific mechanical properties, titanium processing often causes resonance, instability and increased roughness. The experiment was performed on a universal lathe, with varying cutting speed, feed and depth of cu...

COMPARISON OF ANALYTICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF BENDING FORCE

Analytical solutions to a problem are a combination of natural laws, mathematical rules and approximations. The only way to determine whether analytical solutions correspond to reality is experimental verification. In this paper, approximate analytical solutions of the purely plastic bending force with and without strain hardening of the ...
