ANALYSIS AND CONTROL OF TRAFFIC NOISE IMPACT ON THE OBJECTS ALONG THE MAIN CITY HIGHWAY (GGM) ZENICA

Abstract

Noise is one of the greatest factors that has an affect on damaging our environment. Traffic noise affects mostly the population that has no direct contact with noise sources, and as such, traffic noise presents a very serious social problem. This paper presents traffic noise measurements on locations of the Main City Highway in Zenica. Among other things, an
analysis of the measured values was performed, as well as control and comparison with the permitted values defined by legal provisions. Based on the results of measurement, regulations and standards for noise protection, and analysis of solutions from practice, a selection of possible measures to reduce the impact of traffic noise at a given location was
made.
